Vernon McClure founded Main Street Homes in 1996 with a clear vision: to Build New Homes with Quality and Style. Nearly three decades later, Main Street Homes has grown into one of the largest locally owned and operated homebuilders in the area. As we reflect on 2024, we take immense pride in our achievements and the lasting impact we’ve made. At Main Street Homes, our mission goes beyond constructing houses; we are dedicated to Building Value in Our Community. This commitment drives us to nurture the neighborhoods we serve, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and treat every homebuyer like family. This year, we celebrated 356 families as they moved into their Main Street Home.

To keep pace with our homebuilding growth, we expanded our dynamic team by welcoming ten new members, each bringing unique skills and fresh perspectives. Our new additions include Jennifer Sloat, Daniel Sisson, and Monique Wilson, who enhance our sales team; Brady Deal and Kyle Burns, who are on our land team; Rob Pilcher in customer care; Nat Arbor on our accounting team; Jared Morgan with our construction team; and Celeste Colaiocco, who supports our Homeowners Association needs.

Building Communities Beyond Homes: Main Street Homes' Charitable Contributions in 2024

At Main Street Homes, we believe our responsibility extends beyond building homes. In 2024, we embraced the spirit of giving back by supporting CARITAS, supported those affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, and supported a holiday drive for Fairfield Court Elementary School.

CARITAS Support in Richmond, Virginia

Our commitment to building value in the community shone brightly during our Fall Charity Golf Tournament. This event, aimed at supporting CARITAS, raised $152,827 to aid their mission of providing safe spaces for healing, rebuilding, and renewing lives. This significant contribution will support CARITAS in offering essential services such as clean beds, meals, showers, laundry, clothes, recovery workforce education, and peer mentorship at no cost. These services, crucial for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or homeless, rely heavily on private donations. Karen, President and CEO of CARITAS, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donations that keep people safe and foster the journey from despair to hope. Hurricane Helene Support in Western North Carolina

In October, the Main Street Homes team united to make a meaningful impact by collecting donations from our employees to assist those in need in Western North Carolina. Our team member, Rob Dickinson, went above and beyond by personally delivering a truck and trailer loaded with essential supplies to the region. Main Street Homes was proud to match every dollar donated by our employees, doubling the impact and contributing a total of $5,100 to the cause. This collective effort truly reflects the heart of our team and our commitment to giving back.

Fairfield Court Elementary School Support in Richmond, Virginia

Main Street Homes sponsored the Happy Movers' 4th Annual Toy Drive held in December. Through the collaborative efforts of Happy Movers and fellow sponsors, the event successfully raised approximately $10,000, providing gifts for all 230 children at Fairfield Court Elementary School and Target gift cards for 71 staff members. We opened four new communities, each with its distinct charm and appeal:

• Amburn – Single-family and villa homes in the heart of Ashland with walking access to Downtown Ashland
• Oasis – A townhome community offering effortless access to a variety of nearby dining, shopping, and entertainment
• Reserve at Oasis – 55+ Adult Living offering villas homes to active adults who desire a vibrant social community
• Shire Walk – A townhome community located 2 miles from West Broad Street and five minutes from public schools

New Sections in Our Beloved Communities

In 2024, we also expanded one of our existing community’s, adding a new section to offer more opportunities for home ownership in RVA:

As we celebrate an eventful 2024, Main Street Homes is already gearing up for an exciting 2025 with our new home community lineup, with each community offering unique living experiences and amenities.

Main Street Homes is excited to introduce Beech Springs, a brand-new single-family home community coming to New Kent, Virginia located off Airport Road! This community will offer 72 homesites. Nestled in one of the oldest counties in the Commonwealth, New Kent offers something for everyone—from golfing, horse racing, and boating to exploring local wineries and historical landmarks.
